Riki returns home, after three years of absence, where nothing has changed. Katze asks Iason for confirmation about Riki’s disappearance. The latter remains silent as to the reasons, Katze reminds him that Kasala takes the problems very seriously since the previous incident. Katze then goes to Midas, the city of pleasures intended for the wealthy population and witnesses the arrest of three men present illegally. They come from Ceres, an abandoned and dilapidated district of Midas where the outcasts live.

In Ceres, a young man named Kirie is chased by a group of Jeeks. He escapes his pursuers who come across Riki, smoking in the corner. They attack him but Riki gives them all a beating. After that, Kirie’s accomplices find him and welcome Riki with open arms, Guy in particular. They hadn’t seen each other in three years, since Riki left. He was the former leader of the Bison gang, which ruled the roost at the time. His return quickly made headlines. Kirie doesn’t have Riki in her heart. Guy, for his part, notices how much Riki has changed. Especially since he refuses to talk about these last three years, he who had left to leave for a better life outside the slums.

The Space Between (2012) is a remake of old OAVs released twenty years earlier, themselves adapted from the original novel by Rieko Yoshihara. They tell the story of a young man, emerging from the lowlands who wanted to rise from his condition in a society with an ultra-hierarchical structure between social castes. Characters with very polished character design, dreamy masculine appearances, very sensual erotic scenes not too numerous to entice the public. Two protagonists perfectly meeting the Seme/Uke criterion (dominant/dominated) with a hint of rebellion, an SM side to make things even more frenzied.
