Yōhei Hamaji, a high school student, is seen as trash because he is not appreciated by girls. Nakajima, a perverted upperclassman, recruits him to join the school’s water polo team. Taking into account the fact that they have the opportunity to train in a mixed team with the girls’ team and touch them as much as they want during these sessions. The girls’ famous player, Chisato Hagiwara, scolds Hamaji. However, he feels attracted to her because she is one of the girls who truly cares about him. He then tries to get involved in water polo in order to try to win her heart.

Hamaji Yōhei, a first-year high school student, lives his life without any goals, spending all day lazing around. He fails to continue his studies, is not talented at sports and will not resist anything for long. Additionally, he is constantly rejected by girls due to his perversity. He is persuaded by a second year student to join a club where he could pounce on girls, caressing and touching them as much as he wants. He is therefore part of the Water Polo Club. Will Yōhei, who never stays attached to anything, find his place in this club?

Hantsu × Trash is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hiyoko Kobayashi. The story follows Hamaji Youhei, a student new to high school. The latter is neither good at studying nor good at sports and is constantly rejected by girls. It was serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine from July 2012 to January 2020, with its chapters collected into 18 tankōbon volumes. A three-episode original animated DVD adaptation (OAD) was produced by Hoods Entertainment and released from October 2015 to November 2016.
