Beyond 02 English Sub

When I awoke from the darkness, I learned that I was the legendary Dark Devil who would have the power to destroy the Universe. The beautiful girls approach me one after the other. My cry roars through space. When I gently touch a bad guy, it breaks down into molecules. It seemed I had the power. But am I really the Devil? “He” wakes up from the darkness. And without even knowing his identity, he is treated like a legendary demon king who will tear the universe apart from those around him. While receiving a memory regeneration ritual from Ren, « he » ends up wandering aimlessly in space.

It’s one of those shows that you find yourself watching and wondering, « Is this really worth my time? » Well, in that sense, it’s not worth it. Hentai sex scenes are very mild, very short and don’t show much. That being said, this is still a very entertaining watch. To begin with, you have the main character, the « Black Devil », the being meant to herald the end of everything, the destroyer of time and space himself, acting like a good and decent human being. The character’s charm is having empathy towards others (especially women).

Beyond is made up of nice cel shaded/painted elements that we got to see before everything went digital. So there’s nothing wrong with the art, other than most of the designs are, again, stereotypical. The voice acting was good and no voices seemed out of place or poorly handled. But, again, you’ll probably be able to forget about them after you’re done watching. The only real problem with this series is its too short duration.
