Riki’s return to Eos Tower causes an uproar among the elites and animals living there, forcing Riki to endure their contempt for him. While remembering his first time in Eos, where he suffered pain and humiliation, Riki accepts his place with Iason as their relationship continues. At Riki’s request, Iason allows him to work for Katze on the black market, prompting Katze to ask his boss if he really likes Riki. At work, Riki spots a former pet of Eos who cannot escape being sold to a brothel. Katze informs Riki that all pets had to live the rest of their lives this way.

Blinded by jealousy, Guy decides to take Riki back and kidnap him from Dana Bahn, but Riki says he will never be free of Iason. Enraged, Guy performs a penectomy to remove Riki’s pet ring and uses his tracker to lure Iason to Dana Bahn in order to kill him. Before Iason leaves for Dana Bahn, he and Raoul explain that if Iason’s love for Riki were to worsen, Jupiter would make Raoul angry at his spirit, which he refuses to do to his friend. When Iason and Guy clash, Iason crushes Guy’s left arm after discovering what Guy had done to Riki. With Katze’s help, Riki manages to get to Dana Bahn just as Guy sets off the bombs he planted.

The Space Between is a Yaoi anime involving sexy boys in chains. Enjoyable characters and a story that fits the old adage that you want more. Regardless of genre, live action/animated, the story has enough integrity to present itself as a love story. The art style is very old, 90s style, so it’s a bit nostalgic. The start is a little slow, but there are some very hot scenes.
