It’s almost remarkable how much the production team missed out on all the appeal of the source material. Clean and precise art. The great designs that were consistent across every scene. The subtle touches in the character’s expressions that conveyed more than the words that accompanied them. The extremely minimalist story that took a backseat to the action but was still there enough to compliment sex in a way that enhances the experience for those who care. Good adaptations don’t just adapt the source material, keep it exactly as it was while moving it to a new medium.

A good adaptation aims to capture all the good points of the original, while adding to it the elements that the new medium can offer. Alternatively, in this adaptation, everything unique about the original has been omitted, leaving only the most basic and insignificant elements of the story and the terribly animated sex scenes. To call it a disappointment is to be far too generous to the staff who worked on it. It is difficult to sit still.

Even the insane sex scenes are inaccessible due to the complete lack of continuity. She will go from a tiny drop of white stuff on one cheek, to being spotless long enough for the main character to suck her tongue, to having her face covered in baby paste again in the time it takes for three cuts. ! The animation is full of terrible, cheap effects that are so laughable it takes you off the stage, the new dialogue is terribly written and poorly thought out – not to mention the silly timing of some of the lines. They’ll stop in earnest in the middle of a sex scene to let the main character monologue for a few seconds before continuing.
