When Sawa was still a child, she witnessed the assassination of her parents by Akai, an amoral and corrupt police commissioner. Akai reveals to Sawa that if she does not follow his instructions, she will be killed immediately thanks to this double murder. To survive, Sawa decides to never speak of his parents’ murder again. Akai becomes Sawa’s adoptive father. And, despite her young age, begins to have sex with her, forcing her to become a sex slave. Sawa is chosen by Akai to work as a professional assassin under his command. She must kill someone who was captured by Akai in the sewers, contrary to her wishes. After committing her first murder, the young girl only respects the law of the strongest (represented by Akai). The police become famous for Sawa’s killings due to his explosive bullets.

When she becomes an adult woman, she meets a young hitman named Oburi, who also begins killing for Akai. The two young assassins are in love. They opt for Akai’s death in order to completely forget their criminal past and start fresh. Akai and Kanye beat Oburi for his betrayal. They end up killing Akai after many adventures. However, when the criminal community linked to Akai learns of his death, they hire an assassin who succeeds in killing Oburi.

Kite: Angel of Revenge is a good action drama. Well animated, cool jazz ost and lots of blood. The story is extremly dark and pretty interestiong and even thou it goes a bit too over the top at time. Also, be aware that the uncut version is almost a hentai that contain scene that could be disturbing for some. Still a recommended watch, it’s very entertaining even in the edited version.
