Cartagra: Tsukigurui no Yamai 01 English Sub UNC

The story takes place in a Japan at the beginning of its modernization, where mysterious events take place. A few years ago, detective Takashiro Shugo fell in love with Yura, a blind girl little regarded by her neighbors and charged with taking care of her. The lovers shared their first time. But after misfortune separated them, he no longer heard from her. He is now hired by Yura’s father to investigate his daughter’s disappearance, as her twin sister Kazuna is very worried.

To begin their investigation, Shugo and Kazuna travel to Ueno, a place where people have said they saw Yura. But they have to move quickly, because a series of mysterious murders are taking place in the city. In order to find out what is happening there, Shugo will have the help of his informants. They are the prostitutes from the hostel where he recently stayed. They will give the information they have, in exchange for a night with Shugo. Does Yura have anything to do with these murders?

Cartagra: Tsukigurui no Yamai which seemed like an interesting detective story from the first episode, ends up only completing one clue in the second (and final) episode. If they hadn’t focused so much on the Hentai sex scenes, they could have moved the story forward more. But, they stop it when you really want to know more. Additionally, some of the characters introduced were random as they either never returned or had nothing to do with the story, which only made it more confusing. It would have been better if they stuck to the original case rather than doing a cliffhanger.
