Tsumugi Kume attends a gōkon in hopes of finding a man seeking a serious relationship. There she meets Kaname Toujou, a kind and sincere young man at first sight. However, his behavior changes completely when he accompanies the slightly tipsy young woman home. Tsumugi is a student who carries the trauma of an aggressive man in her past. She meets Kaname in a gōkon. She and Kaname got along well. Kaname looks a bit like Tsumugi’s older brother, so she lets her guard down around him. Kaname, however, pretends to be a « herbivore » type man, but is actually an aggressive « carnivore » type man, and he can change his behavior in an instant.

Finding a soul mate is never easy. And especially in Japan where men and women are not necessarily used to going out in mixed groups. To expand their social circle and incidentally try to find a shoe that suits them, the Japanese therefore resort to a technique that is not very widespread in France: the gôkon, the first date with several people!

Literally  »joint date », the word gōkon is the abbreviation of the expression Gōdō Konpa. A name that designates a practice of  »dating » very popular on the archipelago: group meetings! Composed of an equal number of men and women, the gōkon usually takes the form of a dinner party initiated by two members of the group (a man and a woman), where the participants take advantage of the evening to get to know each other. We eat, we drink. And we especially try to enter with the number of the participant with whom the current passes the most!
